Guide to "Time Condition"

1.How to use "Time Condition" on Gate.io website

(1) Place an order

Suppose Peter has been mining GT recently, with the earnings being automatically deposited in his account on the platform. When the GT in his account reaches a certain quantity, he would like to sell his GT for USDT but feels it inconvenient to check his real-time GT balance. Then he could use "Time Condition" to complete his selling process following these steps: set the Trigger Interval for 1 min, the Price at the Last Price+1 USDT, the Amount as 5 GT, the Cancel Settings as Cancel After 30 seconds (this should be shorter than the Trigger Interval), and Valid for 2 days.

Under the "Advanced options", the available values of GT range from 10 to 50, and Price range from 5 to 10. Confirm all the above information and click "Sell" at 16:00:00. img

However, at 16:00:00, it displays in Peter's account that his GT balance is 3, which does not meet the available values range of 10-50. The last price is 5 and the order price is 6 (=5+1), which meets the price range of 5-10. It should be noted that parameter ranges set in the "Advanced options" must all be satisfied to trigger the order. Therefore, the order will not be triggered in this scenario.

At 16:01:00, the 15 GT that Peter previously mined appear in his account, making his balance increase from 3 to 18 (falling in the scope of 10-50). Now, the last price is 4 and the price is 5 (falling in the scope of 5-10), which triggers the order to be placed with both the price and amount at 5. If the last price keeps going down after the order is placed, the placed order will not fill but remain pending. However, as we also set the Cancel Settings as Cancel After 30s, we can see the order will be pending for 30 seconds until automatically being canceled, if not filled, until 16:01:30.

At 16:02:00, Peter's available GT balance meets the GT range. However, at this moment, the last price is 3 and the price is 4, which does not meet the price range of 5-10. Hence, the order will also not be triggered in this scenario.

As explained above, Time Condition orders will be executed repeatedly at trigger intervals after they are placed until they expire or the investor cancels.

(2) View untriggered or unexpired orders

The unfilled parts of your orders can be canceled at any time from this page. img Note: there are two possible reasons if limit orders are not displayed even if all parameters to trigger the order have been met: 1)Insufficient balance. 2)An order fills in full immediately after it is placed, or that the "Immediate or Cancel" feature is enabled, or that the Cancel Settings is set to cancel after certain intervals. Under the circumstances, you can view your trade history from "Limit Order" under "My Trades".
